Eric Fischer’s impressive background in the museum fine art insurance industry includes arranging coverage for some of the largest exhibitions ever held; including From Cezanne to Matisse: Great French Paintings from the Barnes Foundation, Cezanne in Provence, J.M.W. Turner, Edward Hopper and Jasper John’s: An Allegory of Painting 1955-1965 exhibitions.

As well as large value exhibitions, Eric has also successfully arranged coverage for some of the most challenging exhibitions, including recently the Andy Warhol – From A to B and Back Again and Vermeer and the Masters of Genre Painting exhibitions.

During Eric’s twenty seven years working with museum collections insurance, he has served as the main point of contact for over 300 museums nationwide. After his five years with Aon/Huntington T. Block, he was a key factor in the growth of Fine Arts Risk Management in the late 1990’s. While at Fine Arts Risk Management, he further assisted the museum community with the introduction of new museum insurance policy features, including automatic US Indemnity Program deductible coverage at no additional cost. Eric speaks at conferences and workshops on a variety of issues including terrorism insurance, loss prevention, disaster planning and coverage for natural history collections. He has also contributed articles on Fine Art Insurance for AAM’s Covering Your Assets: Facilities and Risk Management in Museums and Caring for Your Art, 3rd Edition.

Prior to working with fine arts insurance, Eric served as a broker for event and exhibition cancellation insurance as well as a property claims adjuster and a medical benefit analyst. He has an undergraduate degree in finance and a Master of Arts degree in U.S. History, both from the University of Pittsburgh.
