Kamila Korbela

Owner and principal paintings conservator of LA Art Labs

Kamila Korbela is the owner and principal paintings conservator of LA Art Labs. Her studio employs scientific techniques and instrumentation in the planning and implementation of museum-quality conservation treatments, and carries out research into the methods and materials used by artists. LA Art Labs works for both private and institutional clients, including LACMA, MOCA, the Broad, the MET, the Annenberg Foundation and the County of Los Angeles.

Kamila successfully completed graduate studies in Art Conservation at the Abk Stuttgart in Germany and held positions at the LACMA, BACC, the National Gallery of Denmark and the German government to name a few. She is a Professional Associate with AIC and her research mainly focuses on day-light fluorescent paintings and the processes of contemporary artists in SoCal.
