Lilia Rivero

Program researcher at UNAM

Lilia has a Master in Art History, a Diploma in Museonomy and a Bachelor of Conservation and Restoration of Movable Property, she has over 30 years of experience in the conservation, museums and cultural heritage management sector.

Advisory Member of the ICCROM UNESCO. Founding member of the Conservation-Restoration Council of Movable and Immovable Property by Destination of the INAH.

Advisor of the NANOFORART Project for the European Union.

Member of the academic team of SHARING CONSERVATION of the days of the Ethnological Missionary Museum Musei Vaticani.

She was General Director of the Conservatory of the National Palace (2015-2018) and National Coordinator of Conservation of Cultural Heritage of INAH (2009-2013).

For ten years she was a curator of the Collection of the Contemporary Art Cultural Center where, among others, she managed the monumental work of Jackson Pollock and Joan Miró.

She collaborated in the creation of the Sacred Art Registry Office and the Franz Mayer Museum.

Lilia is currently a researcher at the Humanities Coordination, integrated into the PUEC (University Program of Studies on the City) since 2019.
