Rita Filardi

Collections Management at Opera del Duomo in Firenze. Expert in UNE

An art historian and experienced museum professional, she has been working in the museum and exhibition field since 1995 in Italy and abroad.

She has been senior Registrar at Azienda Speciale Palaexpo in Rome (Scuderie del Quirinale and Palazzo delle Esposizioni), coordinating shows of ancient and contemporary art.

Since her arrival in 2012 at the Museum of the Opera del Duomo, she has been Collection Manager and Registrar. She oversaw the dismantling of the pre-existing museum in 2013-14 and coordinated the new installation in 2015. She monitors the condition and keeps the records of the collections and manages incoming and outgoing loans, donations and acquisitions.​

She is the Italian expert in the European Committee for Specification for management of moveable cultural heritage collections (CEN TC346 WG16).
