In the current health emergency from Covd-19, logistics operators are increasingly required to disinfect and sanitize equipment, trucks, crates and packaging materials.
Ozone generators seem to be one of the most recommended systems, with less environmental impact than other systems and most used also in hospitals, laboratories, food industry. Obviously they must be used by trained personnel and with continuous and precise monitoring of the ozone levels in the air.
What are the experiences and suggestions of conservators since they can have similar problems? Is the use of ozone generators recommended for the disinfection of equipment, packing cases, packing material, trucks?
Is it also conceivable to use it for the disinfection of the exterior of hermetically sealed packing cases before delivery to museums, therefore not in direct contact with the works of art?
