France confines Paris for a month to curb the spread of the coronavirus

The French government announced the closure of non-essential businesses and the prohibition of interregional movements in 16 departments of the country, including the Paris region, The new measures, which will be applied from midnight on March 19th and for at least four weeks, seek to limit the advance of the coronavirus. The essential goods shops, including bookstores, will remain open and outdoor activities will be allowed in a 10 km radius, but inter-regional travel will not be allowed. The schools will remain open and confinement will be less strict than in previous nationwide lockdowns
