SPAIN. Authorities to demand negative COVID-19 tests, travelers arriving from high-risk countries.

Reminder

Starting on 23rd November, Spain will require international passengers arriving from high-risk countries to present a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours before their arrival to be able to enter the country through ports or airports.

This certificate or supporting documentation must be the original will be written in Spanish and/or English and may be presented in paper or electronic format. The document will contain, at least, the following information: traveller’s name, passport or ID number, date of the test, identification and contact details of the centre that performs the analysis, technique used and negative test result. The personal identification number (passport / DNI) that you use to perform the QR must be the same as the one that appears on the negative PCR certificate.

This requirement will be applied regardless of the passenger’s nationality but will not affect those who enter Spain by land routes.

This measure will be included in the Health Control Form, which all passengers will have to fill in before they enter into the country, and is in addition to the controls already carried out on all international passengers at points of entry, such as temperature checks and visual inspections.
