Pinacoteca di Brera Milan - Reopening June 9th

Today 9 June the Pinacoteca di Brera has reopened its doors to the public.

This is what Dr. James M Bradburne, Director of the Pinacoteca di Brera and Biblioteca Nazionale Braidense told to "Finestre sull'Arte" Magazine:

"Gratuitousness is our way of saying thank you to the city, of being grateful to it. If Brera is in the heart of Milan, the Milanese are in the heart of Brera. And it is to them that we offer our thanks: for never having ideally abandoned our rooms, for letting us feel their support through the website and social pages, for helping to provide us with valuable information on their needs and perceptions insight of the reopening, participating in a large number of surveys available on our site. Ultimately, for sharing that "cultural resistance" that we undertook in the aftermath of the lockdown: not a response to contingency, but a condition of the spirit, which will also accompany us when the museum is open ".
